UNFUSSED contains no aluminium. That is a product feature, not a reason to scare people about products that contain it.
There are plenty of dramatic claims about aluminium, “toxins” and blocked detox pathways. UNFUSSED does not use those claims to sell deodorant.

Aluminium is mainly an antiperspirant ingredient
Deodorant and antiperspirant have different jobs.
Deodorant is used to help manage odour. Antiperspirant is designed to reduce sweat, commonly using aluminium-based compounds as its active ingredient.
Aluminium salts are commonly used in antiperspirants to reduce the amount of sweat reaching the skin's surface.
That is why aluminium appears in many antiperspirants—and why an aluminium-free deodorant will not do the same job.
What does “aluminium-free” actually tell you?
It tells you that the product does not contain aluminium.
It does not automatically tell you that the product is safer, medically superior, suitable for sensitive skin or guaranteed to work better. Those are separate claims requiring separate evidence.
For UNFUSSED, aluminium-free is part of a product designed to help with odour rather than reduce sweating. It does not mean every deodorant is aluminium-free or that every aluminium-free product works the same way.
Why does UNFUSSED leave aluminium out?
Because UNFUSSED is built for people who want a simple natural deodorant and are comfortable with normal sweating.
The formula uses sodium bicarbonate, coconut oil, cornflour, shea butter, beeswax, cetyl alcohol and scent-specific essential oils. It is finger-applied to clean, dry underarms.
No aluminium. No synthetic fragrance. No suggestion that your existing antiperspirant is poisoning you.
Should you choose aluminium-free deodorant?
Choose it if the product format and job suit you.
An aluminium-free natural deodorant may be a good fit if you:
- want help managing odour rather than reducing sweat;
- prefer a simple paste applied with your finger;
- prefer no aluminium or synthetic fragrance; and
- accept that results vary.
It may not suit you if your main priority is drier underarms or if sodium bicarbonate or essential oils irritate your skin.
Patch test before first use and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
The unfussed answer
You do not need a toxin story or a detox ritual to choose an aluminium-free deodorant.
You only need to understand what the product does, what it does not do and whether that matches what you want.
